This mineral is found in various locations worldwide, including Congo, Gabon, Zambia, Namibia, Mexico, Australia, and with the largest deposit/mine in the Urals region, Russia. Malachite has a hardness rating of 3.5-4 on the Mohs scale, making it a relatively soft mineral.
